A person should eliminate foods that are high in saturated fat, cholesterol and sugar. Those foods should be replaced with vegetables, whole grains, fruits and lean protein. A person should also make sure that he or she drinks plenty of water and limits the consumption of sugary beverages.

In order to lose weight, one will have to burn more calories than he or she takes in. That is why it is important to exercise on a regular basis. One does not have to run a marathon. All it takes is moving a little to get great results. Fitness experts recommend engaging in at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday. Walking instead of driving and taking the stairs instead of the elevator are great ways to get more activity in one’s day.
